#2 In our lessons we have been thinking about Heaven. How does the Bible describe Heaven?

A place where our souls go when we die.

A perfect place where the Lord God lives with his saved people.

The Bible does not tell us what heaven is like.

God tells us a lot about Heaven in the Bible. We will never be able to fully understand what it is really like, but we can be sure that it is a sinless and glorious place where all suffering and sorrow are absent. The most wonderful thing about Heaven is that God is there.

#3 Who in the Bible described themselves as ‘The Way, The Truth and The Life’?

The Lord Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.”

#4 The Bible tells us that God waits to welcome us into Heaven. Who will God allow into Heaven?

Everyone

Those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus, and repented of their sins

Anyone who regularly reads their Bible

Anyone who regularly goes to church

Anyone who is born in a Christian family

#5 The Bible tells us that we all have sin in our hearts and that the Lord God can not allow sin into Heaven. How is it possible that we can still go to Heaven?

By believing that the Lord Jesus died on the cross to save us and repenting of our sins.

By going to church every Sunday.

The Lord Jesus is kind and therefore will forgive everyone of their sins.

We don’t deserve anything from God. We have broken His commandments and lived lives that offend Him. However, God is love and so He loves sinners and has made a Way for us to be saved and go to Heaven.

#7 What will happen to those who have not repented of their sins when they die?

They will be sent away from the Lord Jesus to hell

Nothing: they will just cease to exist

The Lord will still forgive them of their sins and allow them into Heaven.

Although it may not be something that we like to hear, it is something that we need to hear and God in His great love has given us many warnings. We must repent and believe and escape the punishment that our lives deserve.

#8 Why are true Christians not afraid of dying?

Because they KNOW that they will be going to Heaven

Because they HOPE that they will be going to Heaven

If God promises something then it is certain because He cannot lie and is never wrong. If He has said that all His people will go to be with Him in Heaven, then they KNOW that they will go there when they leave this world.
